Alpaca

PEARL

As soon as we met sweet Pearl we knew that we wanted her to be a part of our herd. When we would go to visit her and her farmers, she would always be the first one peeping her head around the corner when we drove up.

She is not a typical alpaca as she enjoys people, craves attention and loves to be pet. She is endlessly curious and the most popular girl on our farm.

WINNIE

gray alpaca

Winnie’s registered name is Tammy Wynette. When she came to our farm, we honored her name but tweaked it just a bit. We think it fits her perfectly.

We chose her for our herd because she is a beautiful gray. We love her white hairband and her little black mustache.

We were delighted to also find out that she enjoys being pet as well. She takes a bit longer than Pearl to warm up to people, but after about 10-15 minutes of having visitors, she will often cush and then allow everyone to come over and pet her as long as they like.

ROSE

beige alpaca

Rose’s full name is Saint Isadore’s Invincible Rose of Lima. She came to us with a fluffy head (common with alpaca who are being shown). We decided it perfectly fit her personality so we kept it for the five years were lived on the East Coast. When we moved to Arizona, we decided to trim it way down so that she wouldn’t overheat during the summer.

On warm days, she loves to get her belly and legs hosed down. She is the first one in the stream of water and when we try to hose down another girl, she will step in front of them and steal their stream.
